A couch is essential and mostly loved when we feel tired from work and we want to feel relaxed. Sometimes, we sit on the couch to eat and drink while watching television. But our couch becomes dirty because of spills, stains and dirt; and learning how to clean your couch can be a problem. - Remove the cushions and pillows on the couch including the covers if you have them.
- Vacuum the entire couch and focus to the deep area where most dusts are hidden then vacuum the pillows and cushions.
- Simply wipe the wood area with a soft cloth.
- If you know the material of your fabric, it will be easy for you to start. Try to look for the cleaning codes underneath the cushions. If there is no tag, ask the manufacturer how to clean your couch properly or call a professional cleaning service to use the proper cleaning tools.
How to Clean a Couch by Using Water and Mild Soap
- Combine enough water and mild soap in a bucket.
- Use a sponge and soak it well in the bucket.
- Gently clean the couch with sponge and let it dry. You may use a blow dryer or fan to dry the couch quickly. Do not sit unless the entire couch is dry for it will create a mildew and odor.
- Do this only in the morning. Humidity will help you dry your couch faster.

- Let the entire couch dry before placing the cushions and pillows back.
- In some cases, water marks or rings cannot be avoided. To clean the couch, simply use a rubbing alcohol and damp it to the fabric. Repeat it again by not putting too much alcohol until the marks fade away.

- Use baking soda and sprinkle them on the couch. Leave it over night and vacuum the couch the next morning.
